‘Good supervision gives you space to think – really think – about your work’.
Individual counselling supervision online across the UK and internationally, and in person in Tenterden, Kent.
Why supervision matters.
If you’re a therapist who takes your work seriously – who wants to keep growing rather than just keep going – you’ll know the difference between supervision that goes through the motions and supervision that genuinely shifts something.
At its best, supervision is a dedicated space to bring your work. The sessions that went well, the ones that didn’t, the clients you’re finding hard to reach, the ethical questions you’re sitting with. It’s where you step back from the doing and actually reflect – where someone thinks alongside you rather than at you.
That’s what I try to offer.
What we look at together
Depending on where you are in your practice, our work might focus on any of the following.
Growing as a therapist
Your casework, your development, the theoretical questions your clients raise, and the kind of practitioner you want to become.
Protecting your clients
Thinking through the ethical dimensions of complex cases – making sure the people you see are genuinely well served.
Looking after yourself
This work gets into you. Supervision is one of the places where that gets named and tended to.
Working with me
I’m an integrative supervisor, which means I’m not going to ask you to fit your work into a single theoretical frame. I draw on a range of approaches and I’m interested in how you work – not in converting you to a particular model.
What I bring is honesty and directness. If something’s concerning me, I’ll say so. If I think you’re being too hard on yourself, I’ll say that too. I’m not here to manage you – I’m here to help you think.
I work with trainees completing their placement hours and with qualified practitioners at any stage. If you’re an NCPS member, I can provide supervision that meets your accreditation requirements.
