Some things are worth doing properly.
Integrative counselling and psychotherapy — online across the UK and internationally, and in person in Tenterden, Kent.
Most people who get in touch aren’t in crisis. They’re managing — but something has been sitting heavy for a while, and they’ve reached a point where managing it alone isn’t enough.
That’s a completely reasonable place to start.
How I Work
I don’t follow a fixed approach. Different people need different things, and part of my job is working out what that is for you.
What stays constant is this: you’re the expert on yourself. I might know the theory, but you know your life. We work together as equals — your insight and my experience, in the same room, pointed in the same direction.
Some sessions are practical. Others are slower and more reflective. Most are somewhere in between. We go at your pace, and we focus on what actually matters to you.
What people bring
There’s no set checklist for this. People come because something isn’t right — and they’ve decided it’s worth taking seriously.
That might be anxiety, or a life that’s shifted in ways they weren’t ready for. It might be relationships, self-worth, or simply a heaviness that’s been there long enough. Sometimes people arrive not quite knowing what to call it. That’s fine. We’ll work it out together.

When you're ready
There’s no commitment to starting. A free 15-minute call is just a conversation — a chance to ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and decide if it seems right.
There’s no pressure and no obligation. If it doesn’t feel like the right fit, that’s okay too.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Gentle answers to the things people often wonder before starting therapy.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’re reading this, it’s likely that something in your life feels unsettled – maybe you feel stuck, low, anxious, or simply unsure what you need. Therapy can help you make sense of those feelings, find perspective, and reconnect with your confidence and clarity. You don’t have to be in crisis to begin – many people start when they want a space to reflect, grow, or understand themselves better.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is about getting to know each other. You’ll have time to talk about what brings you here and what you hope to gain. I’ll explain how I work and answer any questions you have, so you can get a sense of whether this feels like the right fit. There’s no pressure to continue – it’s an opportunity to see how the space feels for you.
How often will we meet?
Most clients start with weekly sessions, as this allows us to build momentum and trust. As therapy progresses, sessions may move to fortnightly or monthly depending on your needs and circumstances. Consistency is important, but so is flexibility – we’ll find a rhythm that works for you.
How long will I need therapy for?
That depends on your goals and what you want to explore. Some people come for a few sessions to focus on a specific issue, while others stay longer to work through deeper patterns or long-term challenges. We’ll review progress regularly and agree together when it feels right to end.
What if I'm nervous about starting therapy?
That’s completely natural. Most people feel some uncertainty before opening up to someone new. Part of our work together is creating a calm, non-judgmental space where you can take things at your own pace. You’re free to share as much or as little as feels comfortable – therapy is always about choice, not pressure.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. I offer secure online sessions via Zoom for clients across the UK and overseas. Many people find online therapy convenient, effective, and just as personal as meeting in person. You’re welcome to combine in-person and online sessions if that suits your lifestyle.
How do I book or pay for sessions?

Payment is made at the time of booking via bank transfer or secure online link. I kindly ask for 24 hours’ notice for cancellations; sessions cancelled later than this will be charged in full.
Are sessions confidential?
Yes. Everything we discuss remains confidential, within professional ethical and legal boundaries. I adhere to the NCPS Code of Ethical Practice, which ensures that your privacy and safety are always prioritised.
What's the difference between Counselling and Psychotherapy?
In my practice, there’s overlap between the two. Counselling often focuses on specific challenges and finding practical ways forward. Psychotherapy tends to explore deeper themes, patterns, and long-term personal growth. We’ll decide together what kind of approach feels most useful for you – there’s no single “right” way to do therapy.
Can I contact you between sessions?
For brief, practical matters such as rescheduling or confirming details, yes. For anything more therapeutic in nature, it’s best brought to our next session, where we can give it the time and attention it deserves.
How do I get started?
You can begin with a free 10–15 minute introductory call to talk about what you’re looking for and ask any questions. There’s no commitment – just a chance to connect and see if it feels right.
